What is it?Anèmona is a particle-based screensaver based on LiquidMac. Its movements suggest the ones of a sea anemone. Unlike LiquidMac, it doesn't use the SMS (Sudden Motion Sensor) to create its beautiful patterns.
Anèmona reached 100.000 downloads! Thanks everyone!
How to use it?Double click to install. Then watch.
Is it free?Yes! If you really want to, you can always contribute to my Pay-Pal account. If you want to include it into any CD-ROM or other media to mass-distribute it, please email-me!
Known IssuesNot tested on older machines. Might feel sluggish on slower PPC machines. Should work fine on any intel machine.
v1.43 - 26/07/2012 -Mac OS X Mountain Lion 1/4/2010 -Now available on the AppStore, for both iPhone and iPad. v1.42 - 27/08/2009 -Drawing performance improvements. -Added 64bit version for Snow Leopard (hopefully will work?) v1.41 - 5/11/2007 -Fixed some typos. v1.4 - 4/11/2007 -Multiple Screen support. -Option to "close" the particles on the screen. -Option to have less particles (for slower macs). v1.3 - 23/10/2007 -Added Glow effect. -Fine tuned simulation parameters. -Longer Trails. -Particles remain on screen (closed top). -Further code optimization. v1.2 - 22/10/2007 -Color changes to reddish depending on speed. -Got rid of sqrt, using a "cheaper" approach now. This allows to place 1000 particles on screen. v1.1 - 19/10/2007 -Changed name from "flow" to Anèmona, as another screen saver
existed already with this name. -Renamed classes to avoid conflicts with other screens savers that might
use them (Like Fields). v1.0 - 19/10/2007 -First Release
It looks much much better when seen "live" @ 60fps and no video compression.
