{"id":365,"date":"2008-06-19T14:08:10","date_gmt":"2008-06-19T10:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uri.cat\/blog\/?p=365"},"modified":"2021-06-20T10:20:34","modified_gmt":"2021-06-20T08:20:34","slug":"visuals-for-minus-richie-hawtin-and-co","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uri.cat\/blog\/visuals-for-minus-richie-hawtin-and-co\/","title":{"rendered":"Visuals for MINUS; Richie Hawtin and Co. at Sonar 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday night I had a chance to do visuals for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.m-nus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minus<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Richie_Hawtin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Richie Hawtin<\/a> and Co. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonar.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonar.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sonar<\/a> invited <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonar.es\/portal\/eng\/news.cfm?id_noticia=394\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">them<\/a> again during its 2008 edition.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Ali Demirel, who controls all the visuals for the set, I was given a chance to experience the joy of an enormous crowd (around 6 thousand people) dancing for 5 hours to minimal techno and enjoying realtime visuals. This would be cool on its own, but if you are also controling part of the visuals while people go crazy to them, its awesome!
