Tunnel coming to iPhone

I have submited my first iPhone application to the iTunes App Store. Tunnel is an enhanced port of the previous Tunnel for macbook I made. It is now waiting for approval, and I guess it should be available for download in a day or two….

As its predecessor, Tunnel is a very simple game that fascinated me when I was at university. Its beauty lies in its simplicty. You navigate a ship through a never ending tunnel. Hit a wall and you lost. It uses the orientation sensor as controls, making it very direct and intuitive.

Visuals for Richie Hawtin @ Sonar 2008: some videos

I found some videos of the event on youtube….

that’s how the show started, and I got to control the visuals at that point… Particles moving gently and playing hide-and-seek with the Minus logo.

That other video shows the stage from the front, and Ali handed me control of the visuals again around halfway the video.

Visuals for MINUS; Richie Hawtin and Co. at Sonar 2008

Friday night I had a chance to do visuals for Minus; Richie Hawtin and Co.

Sonar invited them again during its 2008 edition.

Thanks to Ali Demirel, who controls all the visuals for the set, I was given a chance to experience the joy of an enormous crowd (around 6 thousand people) dancing for 5 hours to minimal techno and enjoying realtime visuals. This would be cool on its own, but if you are also controling part of the visuals while people go crazy to them, its awesome! The set started at 2am, finished and 7am… And our massive open air dance floor was completelly full the whole time!
